To simplify the maintenance and integration of networks, the 800GBASE-VR8 transceiver features a hot-pluggable QSFP-DD form factor with an MPO16 APC connector. This optical transceiver operates at 800 Gigabits per second and comprises eight channels. Its primary function is to facilitate multi-lane, short-range information transmission.
The device features an 8-channel PIN photodetector array and an 850nm eight-channel array of VCSELs. With the addition of Forward Error Correction (FEC), it can achieve maximum transmission distances of 50 meters for OM4 fiber and 30 meters for OM3 fiber.
Utilizing only 17 watts of power, the 800G optical transceiver is an excellent choice for businesses focused on energy efficiency. The module also includes digital diagnostic tools to monitor performance reliability.
