800G QSFP-DD Passive Direct Attach Cable

This cable connects two QSFP-DD ports directly, at up to 800Gbps aggregate. The 16 differential pairs on one QSFP-DD end terminate at the corresponding 16 pairs on the other end, with each of the eight lanes carrying a 50 or 100Gb/s PAM4 signal at 53.125 GBd/s, per IEEE P802.3ck.

The QSFP-DD interface doubles lane count from 4 to 8 relative to QSFP, while retaining backward mechanical and plug compatibility with QSFP modules. Each connector end carries an EEPROM accessible over I2C, allowing product information to be read or written per port. The cable is available in three lengths: 0.5m and 1m using 30AWG wire, and 2m using 26AWG wire. Operating case temperature range is 0°C to 70°C; storage temperature range is -20°C to 85°C. Operating humidity is rated up to 85% RH (non-condensing). The cable complies with QSFP-DD MSA and IEEE P802.3ck and is RoHS compliant.
