The 800G QSFP-DD active optical cable is designed for 800 Gigabit Ethernet connectivity and short-range, multi-lane data transmission in high-density data centers. The AOC integrates eight full-duplex 850nm VCSEL and PIN photodetector channels in a standard QSFP-DD form factor, converting 8×106.25Gbps PAM4 electrical signals into optical signals over a dual MPO-12 (MPO-16) multimode fiber pair — and back again on the receive end. With FEC enabled, the cable reaches up to 50m on OM4 fiber or 30m on OM3. It runs on a single +3.3V supply with power dissipation of 13.5W typical (14W max) per end, and is CMIS-compliant with built-in digital diagnostics for real-time monitoring of voltage, temperature, and per-lane optical power. Rated for the full commercial case-temperature range of 0°C to +70°C and RoHS-compliant, this AOC is a reliable, plug-and-play alternative to a transceiver-plus-fiber-patch setup for 2×400GBASE-SR4 Ethernet (IEEE 802.3db) links — ideal for Ethernet, InfiniBand, and Telecom applications.
