Up to 150 meters of OM4 MMF and 100 meters of OM3 MMF connections are made possible by the QSFP+ transceiver module’s four-channel, pluggable, parallel, 12-fiber MTP/MPO male connectors and fiber-optic QSFP+ transceiver. An excellent 850nm VSCEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) transmitter and an 11.3Gb/s PIN photodiode receiver are used in this 40G SR4 QSFP+ module. QSFP+ 40Gbase SR4 functions throughout the standard temperature range of 0° to 70°C. It works flawlessly with every 40GBASE-SR4 standard interface. As described in the QSFP+ MSA, it is outfitted with digital diagnostic monitoring via the I2C interface, which enables real-time access to operating information. The design of this optical module makes installation simple. Data centers, campus networks, and within or between switches, routers, network interface cards (NICs), and other transport equipment are just a few of the many applications for which it is perfect, since it is hot-swappable.
