The 400G QSFP-DD to OSFP-RHS active optical cable bridges QSFP-DD switch ports and OSFP-RHS NIC/DPU ports over a single 400G link, supporting maximum transmission distances of 30m on OM3 multimode fiber and 50m on OM4 multimode fiber with FEC enabled. Each end carries 4 lanes of 106.25Gbps PAM4 (53.125 GBd per lane) through 850nm VCSEL arrays and PIN photodetector arrays, for an aggregate data rate of 425Gbps.

The cable is fully compliant with OSFP MSA, QSFP-DD MSA, IEEE 802.3db, and IEEE 802.3ck, and exposes digital diagnostics via CMIS 4.0 over a 2-wire I2C interface — covering per-lane Tx/Rx optical power, bias current, module temperature, and supply voltage. It's well suited for 400GBASE-VR4 Ethernet, HPC clusters, and AI/ML fabrics that mix QSFP-DD switch silicon with OSFP-based NICs.
