The QSFP28 LR4 optical module meets IEEE and QSFP28 MSA standards, specifically 802.3ba for 100GBASE-LR4 and 802.3bm for CAUI-4, making it suitable for various infrastructure setups.
The QSFP28 LR4 transceiver effectively handles large volumes of data by configuring four channels with 25.78125 Gb/s output power into four optical Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) signals for local area networks (LANs). By combining these data streams, it produces an optical output of 103.125 Gb/s, allowing for faster and more efficient transmission. This enhances the speed of data transfer while preserving data integrity. Additionally, the I2C interface enables digital diagnostics and monitoring, allowing for real-time equipment control and maintenance.
