16 Ports Gigabit Switch as Gateway and Server into One, Optional Dual Marvell OCTEON TX2 CN9130 DPUs
The all-in-one device integrates functions of a 16-port PoE++ network switch, an intelligent gateway, and a server that provides one-stop IT services, and is designed for small businesses and SOHOs. The Marvell Prestera MV-DX2556 switch chip and enterprise SONiC support OSPF, BGP, VXLAN, BGP-EVPN, MLAG, and IPv6 at 72Gbps. Additionally, it uses 1 or 2 Marvell OCTEON CN9130 DPU chips with 4-core ARMv8 Cortex-A72 CPUs and encryption engines on the backplane via 10G Ethernet.
The 16-port 1G switch provides high-performance networking and computing capabilities, allowing it to meet different application needs such as retail chains, healthcare clinics, education institutions, factory automation, branch offices/chain stores, and smart building projects etc. The optional PTP module supports nanosecond-level timing accuracy across network devices and accurate latency measurements between network points. It supports telemetry, packet scheduling, log synchronization, and traffic analysis, and ensures consistent timing across redundant systems.
AsterNOS, Pre-installed enterprise SONiC software, powers the 16-port gigabit access switch’s networking capabilities. It supports Layer 2 and Layer 3 IPv4 and IPv6 operations and extensive security features, including ACL and 802.1x authentication. It supports OSPF and BGP routing protocols, making it adaptable to network situations.
Operating System
The enterprise SONiC Distribution, which comes pre-installed on the CX102S-16GT-DPU-M-SWP, offers a wide variety of Layer 2/3 capabilities. Two Marvell OCTEON TX2 CN9130 DPUs are included with the device; one comes with Ubuntu/Debian pre-installed, and the other with OpenWrt.
CentOS, OpenSUSE, Arch Linux, AlmaLinux, Rocky Linux, Linux Mint, and Elementary OS are also supported by the device. The OS can be installed and upgraded using a USB disk with Trusted Firmware and UEFI.
